The theme gave for this project was“la fortune”, meanings as good luck, destiny, plenty of money and wealth. I decided to investigated the issue inside the thematic of the food and on the gap about food supplies in the world.The banana is the most widely eaten fruit in the world, above all among the poorer populations of the third world but also on the table of the richest.
This banana sculpture uncovers the hidden stories behind the chiquita monopoly.

As a pesticide in the 1977, the big company used the Nemagòn, that has determined the onset of infertility among banana growers.

All these sad stories are hiding under the names of big monopolies like the famous Chiquita, which has changed its name several times not to reveal these episodes.
